The Star Hotel

As one of Southampton's oldest and finest coaching inns. The Star hotel is situated in the historic part of the city, in the main High Street, the hotel is close to parks, the shopping precinct and malls. We are a 20 minute walk from the bus and train stations and various local services pass directly out the front of the hotel. We are also located a short walk from the Isle of Wight Ferry Services and are conveniently located for cruises departing from Southampton. Royalty were regular visitors to the hotel in the early 1800's. Our Victoria room commemorates a visit, in 1831, by the Duchess of Kent and then Princess Victoria.

LEAVE THE M27 AT JUNCTION 3 TAKE THE LEFT ON THE ROUNDABOUT ONTO THE M271 FOLLOW THE SIGNS TO THE WATERFRONT UNTIL YOU GET TO THE ROUNDABOUT WITH THE HOLIDAY INN HOTEL ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE AND THE GRAND HARBOUR HOTEL ON THE LEFT (WITH GLASS PYRAMID FRONT) GO STRAIGHT ACROSS THIS ROUNDABOUT THEN AT THE NEXT TRAFFIC LIGHTS TAKE A LEFT CARRY ON THIS ROAD STRAIGHT ACROSS THE NEXT SET OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS THEN YOU WILL SEE US ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE, A WHITE BUILDING WITH FLAGS ON THE BALCONY AND FOR PARKING, FOLLOW THE ARCHWAY INTO THE CAR PARK.
